Geocaching: How to design an exploratory field trip

This guide serves as an introduction to the utilization of Geocaching, a location-based and outdoor treasure-hunting online platform, to facilitate students to achieve high-level learning outcomes through engaging in exploratory field trips. Additionally, this guide offers comprehensive step-by-step instructions for two distinct types of field trips: the instructor-guided field trip and the self-guided field trip.



The materials in this booklet were designed and developed in 2023 by the e-Pedagogy project team. They can only be used for teaching and professional development purposes at The Education University of Hong Kong.
